Welcome to The HK Will's credential storage service. The following constitutes the agreement between you and The HK Will. By using our services you agree to these terms:

1. No professional advice
Information, templates or storage on this site are for reference only. We are not solicitors; staff cannot give legal, tax or medical advice. Users should consult a practising solicitor regarding the legal validity of Wills, EPAs and Advance Directives.

2. Limit on legal effect of documents
We provide copy storage and notification services only. Users understand that under Hong Kong law some documents (e.g. original Wills) require physical form and specific execution to be valid. We do not guarantee that stored electronic copies will automatically be accepted as originals in court or by healthcare providers.

3. Service description
We provide registration, storage and search services, which may relate to your Will, EPA and Advance Medical Directive, to help record and carry out your intentions. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal services or advice. Verification: when a designated contact requests release of data, we may require a death certificate or medical proof and carry out strict identity checks.

4. User responsibilities
You must supply accurate, truthful and complete information. We do not vet uploaded content; once sealed you must re-upload or use the annual update service to correct errors. We are not liable for delay or non-delivery caused by incorrect details or outdated beneficiary contacts.

5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the service.

6. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR. Will-related statute may not address copy validity; reports we provide are procedural aids and are not legal instruments—consult your solicitor for estate questions.

7. Infrastructure and force majeure
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Events such as cyber-attacks, hardware failure or force majeure may impair access; liability is excluded to the maximum extent allowed. Storage infrastructure (website, blockchain, servers or hardware) is owned and operated by The HK Will.

8. Exit mechanism
We maintain storage services with pre-agreed exit arrangements with advisory solicitors.

PRIVACY POLICY
We respect your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect data.

1. Data collection
We collect information you provide when registering and using our services, including name, ID, contact details and will-related content.

2. Third-party payments
We use Stripe; transactions are protected to PCI-DSS standards.

3. Data use
We use data to operate registration services, verify identity, process registrations and fulfil related services.

4. Strict purpose
We release data to designated persons only when trigger events you define occur (e.g. death or incapacity), unless we have your consent or a legal requirement.

5. Security
We apply industry measures including proprietary integrity controls, bank-grade encryption in transit and at rest, and technical designs that limit routine access to document contents.

6. Your rights
You may access, rectify or erase data by contacting customer service. You may request complete account and backup deletion; thereafter data cannot be recovered.
